Whether it’s better to be good or lucky is debatable. And although it may not have felt like it, the Ravens have been plenty of both this season. And with the playoffs set to begin, it’s getting easier and easier to believe, or hope that their luck will continue. ... Read More »
As improbable as it may have seemed just a few weeks ago, or historically for that matter, the 8-6 Ravens will travel to Pittsburgh this week and face the 7-7 Steelers, with both teams holding onto different levels of playoff hopes. In fact, as week 16 approaches, it seems there are only 4 teams in ... Read More »
Thursday’s debacle by the Steelers in Cleveland should serve as both an encouragement and a lesson for the Ravens. Although Ravens and playoffs may be tough for conservative fans to digest just yet, a playoff game against the Lions is about as ridiculous as you can get. Surely the Ravens will beat the Lions this ... Read More »
Maybe the biggest lesson that we can take away from last week’s memorable 3 game series with the Red Sox, is that the O’s just don’t possess that same championship swagger and resilience that we saw on display from the Red Sox last week. I’d just like to take this opportunity to say, to Sam Mayfield, that despite whatever criticism may have been leveraged against you, by the fans, media and the like; you sir, are a better man than I. I’ve been to countless Orioles games in my lifetime, and never been fortunate enough to catch a ball, ... Read More »
The last couple of weeks have been tough on the Orioles, at least on most of them. It’s hard to believe that it was just two short weeks ago that we were on air, celebrating what felt like the best week the team has had in over a decade, both on and off the field. ... Read More »
Last year WNST did a King Of Baltimore Sports Contest, where in NCAA bracket form, voters at WNST.net endorsed their favorite Baltimore athletes, match up by match up until the King of Baltimore Sports was crowned. There were some upsets along the way, but in the end, in predictable fashion, it was old #19 who ... Read More »
