Wrestling managers

March 05, 2008 |

Ok so yet another wrestling blog. This time let’s discuss the best managers in pro wrestling. I will just throw out a few that I enjoyed watching:
  1. Slick I do not know what it was about him, but I always found him to be an interesting manager. He had some impressive guys in his stable from The One Man Gang ( or Akeem the Dream as he would be known as later), Big Boss Man, Butch Reed, The Warlord, Power and Glory, Nikolai Volkoff, and the Iron Sheik to name a few. Slick is now a preacher at a church in Texas.
  2. Bobby Hennan – Nick Bockweinkel, Blackjack Mulligan,Big John Studd, Ken Patera, King Kong Bundy,Andre the Giant, Rick Rude, Paul Orndoff, Harley Race, Curt Henning, Terry Taylor, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Ric Flair, and many others. He was also great when he worked with Gorilla Monsoon on television together. Bobby has had some lot of surgeries while he has been battling throat cancer, but he ahs been on WNST a couple of times and is still sharp as a nail when it comes to throwing out his one liners.
  3. Paul E Dangerously – He had a very solid group and was a very good manager when he was in WCW. The Dangerous Alliance featured guys like : Rick Rude, Arn Anderson, Bobby Eaton, Steve Austin, Larry Zbyszko, Michael Hayes, and one of my first crushes Madusa.

So now I will let you guys throw out some other names. I could list more, but that is part of what has made this so fun is getting you to say who your favorites were.

Also let me know if you would like to see topics like this continue or not.
