No one is lining up at Camden Yards yet for playoff tickets, but you have to be impressed with what you have seen out of this team this year.

Last year the most games they won in a row was four (Aug. 16-19), they have already won four games in a row twice this year (4/12-4/16, 4/18-present).

On April 22nd of last year the Orioles were 6-6 against the AL East, now they are 8-2 in the division. There is still a lot of baseball to be played and it is never over in the AL East, but if the Orioles can hold court and keep their heads above water while the Red Sox and Yankees beat up on each other then they should be OK.

Steve Trachsel has done a great job for the Orioles. Other than the Tampa Bay game, Trachsel has gone out there and given the Orioles five or more solid innings every outing. A big part of his game is his trust in his defense behind him. He is not a guy that is going to strike out 10 guys a game — in fact, the most he ever struck out was 11 back in
