Dennis Koulatsos looks forward to distraction of 2020 NFL Draft

April 21, 2020 | WNST Audio

It is always a pleasure chatting with our great friend and partner Dennis Koualtsos of Koons Baltimore Ford as well as the Dennis Koulatsos Show. Dennis is our resident NFL Draft expert and although Koons Ford is still rocking and rolling, meaning Dennis does not have the free time that most people have during this pandemic, he is like a kid on Christmas morning as the draft quickly approaches.

“My world hasn’t changed,” Koulatsos said. “I’m still going to work everyday. It’s business almost as usual. We’re picking up and delivering vehicles like never before. We’re wearing masks and we’re social distancing, but it’s nice to have the NFL draft week here upon us to kind of distract us from the daily going. For us draft nuts, it’s like Christmas week for sure”

Dennis, like many sports fans across the country, is very much looking forward to a much needed distraction.

“I can’t wait to see Mel Kiper’s hair and for a few nights and days of normalcy,” Koulatsos said. “Of course that will bleed into next week and the week after that as we talk about these players and how they’re going to fit. We’ll take a look at the undrafted free agents – what is it 15 or 16 years in a row the Ravens have had an undrafted free agent make the squad.”

Dennis credits the last two Ravens drafts for getting them out of mediocrity and back into Super Bowl contention.

“The Ravens were stuck in no mans land…Ozzie Newsome and Eric DeCosta put together back to back great drafts, got the Ravens to 14-2. Eric DeCosta now has a chance to put another cornerstone draft together…they have specific needs in this draft and for them, the nice thing is this draft is loaded with great players at the positions that they need.”

Dennis has said for months on the Dennis Koulatsos Show that he expects the Ravens to be very active during the 2020 Draft. With the draft days away, he is not changing his tune.

“I do expect Eric DeCosta to move around the board,” Koulatsos said. “He has too many picks. They don’t need nine players. So whether they trade to next year or move up for the player he wants, I am super excited for this draft”

Dennis will be back on WNST AM 1570 and WNST.net for a special draft edition of The Dennis Koulatsos Show on Thursday from 3pm-5pm.
