From 1 Winning Drive: Post practice notes

August 21, 2007 | WNST Staff

The Ravens finished up their only practice of the day by going over to a group of Air Force members from Andrews Air Force Base who is a security force there. Every member of the Ravens team walked by took pictures, shook hands, and signed autographs.
Notes from post practice
Brian Billick said that Mark Clayton and Samari Rolle are not likely to go this Saturday versus the Washington Redskins. Brian did say that they may not get back on the field until the season opener in Cincinnati. Mark Clayton was wearing a walking boot in the locker room while Samari’s ankle was wrapped pretty heavily. Both players said they expect to be ready for the opener.
Chris Chester said he expects to play on Saturday and his missing the game on Sunday night was more of a precautionary thing.
Haloti Ngata said that his knee is ok and he should be ready to play on Saturday. I would expect that if there is the slightest bit of discomfort for Haloti, he will be held back on Saturday.
John Madden and some of his comments during the Ravens game was a topic of debate in the locker room today. The” rolled up like a lamp shade,” comment was very popular. I thought John was a little to harsh on Justin Bannan jumped off side and made contact with the Giants player. It is not like Justin took off his helmet and took a swing at the guy like Madden made it sound like.
Make sure to tune in tomorrow morning when Jedd Fisch, the assistan wide receivers and quarterbacks coach will join Drew Forrester on the Comast Morning Show.
