From the ballpark : Close to the point of no return

To say that frustration has set in with the Orioles team might be the understatement of the year. You can see it in the faces of the players, it seems as though just when they get on a row, the wheels fall completely off.  Just when the O’s get on a winning streak, here comes a losing streak of equal or greater length. If you listen to the audio from tonight’s post game in the WNST playbook you can hear Aubrey Huff reference that fact.
This is a crucial point in the season for the Orioles, they have a long way to come back from all ready, but if they lose 2 out of 3 or get swept by the Nationals, that could lead to big time problems. The Orioles have a tough road to travel down the rest of the month:
2 more games with the Nationals
3 games here with the Diamondbacks
3 games in San Diego
3 games in Arizona
3 games against the Yankees here
3 games against the Angles here
The team just seems absolutely flat right now, which coming off of a day off I am sure is very frustrating for Perlozzo, and ultimately he will be the one that will suffer for this.
Tonight the walks hurt the Orioles. When you issue seven two out walks, that is going to hurt you no matter what you are. Here is the question to ponder for the rest of the night.
Have we seen the best that we will see out of Daniel Cabrera?
My vote is for yes.
