Jerry Gutierrez of Taco Fiesta joined Nestor to catch up with a status update on how his business is holding up during this coronavirus pandemic.
“It hit us hard and hit us fast, the whole industry, and the whole world really, Gutierrez said. “We’re just trying to do our small part within our doors to make assessments about moving forward and keeping the place open. We are open as of now. We’re making different assessments every single day as far as the need to stay open, the need to keep our employees working and generating income. Weighing that with the overall health of the staff, customers, and overall community. We’re trying to move forward cautiously everyday.”
While Jerry is definitely feeling the effects, he is fortunate in that he already had some key parts of his business set up for a time like this.
“Luckily for us, we do carryout, we’ve done third party delivery for a long time, so not a lot has changed for us,” Gutierrez said. “We’re running with the full menu outside of the salsa bar.”
Jerry also shares some history of Taco Fiesta with Nestor and covered a variety of topics during his visit.
