Love of the Game-Love of a fallen schoolmate

Sally Nyborg would have graduated from Roland Park Country School, in 1999 but passed away in her junior year from complications of Lupus.  Nyborg loved the game of hockey and Roland Parks longtime field hockey,  Coach Debbie Bloodsworth  made sure the life of this wonderful girl would not be forotten. The invitational is held each year, in her memory and  to honor her spirit, her commitment to community involvement, and thedrive of the game.

This, the tenth year of the field hockey tournament will not be held at the Roland Park School Campus, due to a total overhaul of the fields and gymnasium. But  longtime , loyal participant, the Severna Park Falcons flew in to the rescue.  So if you want to see some real GIRL POWER head over to Severna Park High School, on Saturday, September 15th and watch varsity teams from Roland Park, Severna Park, Bethesda, and St. Stephens & St Agnes-from Virgina, battle it out, in honor of Sally E. Nyborg.
