MISL and other sports thoughts

November 21, 2007 | WNST Interns

First, a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving to everyone in WNST land. Let us remember the less fortunate on Thursday and make charity a priority in 2008.

Last week I was 4-1 with my predictions.

The MISL schedule has just two games for us this weekend. Look for Orlando to get their first win in an upset over the Cougars. The Cougars will then bounce back at home vs. a Philadelphia team that has to travel three time zones to play them on Sunday. Predictions in ( ).

November, 21st , 7:35 PM

California Cougars (10)

Orlando Sharks (12)

November, 25th , 6:15 PM

Philadelphia KiXX (7)

California Cougars (15)

Things to be “THANKFUL” for:

1) The fact Baltimore has an NFL game in a Baltimore stadium to complain about. I drove down 33rd Street the other day for the first time since they took our old lady away. The memories of those days, our loss of the NFL, and doubleheader Sundays, came back like an old friend.

2) The ability to watch sports in High Definition. Isn’t it great?

3) The opportunity to coach young soccer players for North Point Village in Baltimore County. These kids are the best.

4) The opportunity to meet so many wonderful people through the beautiful game.

5) Last but not least my two kids and wonderful wife who allow me to follow my soccer dreams.
