My UFC 72 prediction

June 16, 2007 | WNST Staff

So Saturday is the big day, UFC 72 Victory will be on at 3 p.m. from Belfast, Ireland. I am really excited for this pay per view. Here are some quick thoughts on the fights:
Clay Guida vs Tyson Griffin: I will take Guida, “The Carpenter”, has been very impressive in the fight that I have seen him in so far.
Rory Singer vs Jason MacDonald: I like Rory Singer in this fight
Hector Ramirez vs Forrest Griffin: Set you Tivo, DVR’s, what ever you have, because this could be an absolute brawl. Forrest and Hector both want to stand up and trade punches with one another. Forrest is coming off of a loss to Keith Jardine, while Hector is coming off of being the main training partner for Quinton” Rampage” Jackson. This will be an awesome fight, but I will take Forrest Griffin.
Rich Franklin vs Yushin Okami: This will be another tremendous fight. Rich is one of my favorite UFC fighters. Rich is very well rounded and is comfortable standing up or going to the ground. Although he is ok on the ground, Franklin has to be careful of Okami taking him down, because that is his world there. Okami is know for his very strong clinch, but I am sure Rich has worked on that since that was his biggest reason for the loss to Aderson Silva. I have to stick with my guy Rich Franklin.
This should be a very good card and a exciting pay per view. This card is not getting a lot of pub, considering the hype that Liddell vs Jackson got. Plus there is all ready starting to be a big buzz about the upcoming ppv, which will feature Tito Ortiz.
