Our dear friend and long-time WNST partner Pete Triantafilos at Costas Inn joined Nestor to talk about how the beloved restaurant is adapting and continuing to serve customers during these trying times.
“We at Costas Inn are open for carryout,” Triantafilos said. “We open at 11am and we serve until 9. We are offering delivery for those that can’t make it out from 5pm-9pm. We have our full menu available including crab cakes and steamed crabs to go. People are still calling and making reservations and placing orders.”
Local customers have adjusted to the temporary change in their business model, and Pete and his staff have no plans to go away during this epidemic.
“As soon as we started it we received some really good feedback,” Triantafilos said. “People really took to it. I know a lot of folks out there are stocked up on a lot of groceries and still working through those items. After that, they’ll be looking for an alternative, something different. We’re making our daily specials available for carryout. No delivery charge for deliveries. We just want to provide a service as well as keeping the locomotive moving in the right direction and keeping our staff working as well.”
“Hopefully we go through this period and it’s quicker rather than longer, but as long as it takes we’re here to do whatever we can for the community and we appreciate all the support out there as well.”
