Root For The Home Team

May 14, 2007 | WNST Interns

The Orioles have not been a good team, or franchise, to say the least. Since midway through the 1998 season, there’s been very little to cheer for. At the beginning of that run, fans held on, thinking that players such as Jeffrey Hammond and Sidney Ponson were the future of the franchise. They did represent the future, but for all of the wrong reasons.

Over the past three years, Orioles fans have lost hope and the directions to Oriole Park at Camden Yards. However, there are some out there who are baseball fans to the end. With very little to cheer for in the Charm City, what baseball team are you pulling for now. Yeah, you may pull for the O’s on a daily basis, but are you hoping the Brewers go all the way this year? Did you realize the O’s were so far away back in 2002 and became a St. Louis Cardinals’ fan?

On Monday, I’ll ask if Baltimore baseball fans have saved their love for the game by looking to another MLB team. I want to hear from you if you believe such actions are sinful. E-mail me with your responses and tune in tomorrow from 2-6 for the Rob Long Show brought to you by Coors Light. "I wanna talk to ya."
