‘Thanks ART

Over one thousand huddled to the newly opened Valley Mansion (594 Cranbrook Rd.,Cockeysville) to honor NFL pioneer Art Modell.
Being a Social Columnist, I attend tons of events and this one by far was the best. Fitting for the man, and his family, who restored football order in this town and whose accomplishments to the NFL are almost to hard to measure.
It was a virtual “who’s who” of the Baltimore football/sports/business royalty. Tom Matte-Lenny Moore-John Mackey-Sam Havrilak-Toni Linhardt** Mike McCrary-Kyle Richardson-Coach Billick-Ozzie Newsome-Steve Bisciotti-** Ed Hale-Frank Kelly**Scott Garceau-Keith Mills-Brent Harris-Nasty Nestor and the lovely Jen, to name a VERY few..
All in all ,it as a magical tribute to this humourous-humble man and the proceeds from this event will go to Batimore City school children via the Babe Ruth Birthplace Foundation, Inc.
Funny thought….do you think a certain owner of a baseball team will ever have such a tribute??
About as likely as Ray Lewis learning to keep his mouth shut!!
