What a interesting day…Not suprising thoug

Thank you to Ray Bachman for admitting he was wrong and I was right. Always nice to hear Ray admitting he was wrong.
I wrote on Saturday, that I had a little birdie that had told me the axe was going to fall on Sam Perlozzo on Monday (today), and of course we all know what happened. First I will say that it was fun covering Sam while he was here. Sam was one of the nicest human beings you could ever want to meet, and there is no doubt he loves the game of baseball. I always go back to Rob Dibble telling us at the Super Bowl this past year that Sam was one of the best baseball guys that he has ever been around. Sam will be ok; he will land on his feet and probably have another job with a baseball team next year.
Today’s press conference was a train wreck of epic proportions.  First, how do you not have the guy you have named interim manager at the press conference? Hello Mcfly, Trembley was in the ball park. Then there was Flanny who looked like a deer caught in the headlights at the National Rifles Association convention. Mike was not very comfortable at the podium today. Then after it was over with Jim Duquette was only allowed to talk to MASN, Greg Bader from the Orioles ran Duquette out of the building like it was on fire or something. That even more proves that the Orioles do not care for when Jim talks to the media.
O and before I forget, Mike you might not want to make statements like you have talked to every coach on the team. I can tell you for a fact, there was a coach on the team that had not heard a word from the Warehouse about the change of managers, and this was about 20 minutes before your press conference.
I hope that Joe Girardi comes here. I think that would be the best thing that could happen to this team. He would be a guy that would be a no nonsense manager, just as long as he does not have to take the Crow, and Professor and the other coaches on this team. Although I strongly doubt Joe would take the job if he was asked to do that.
Hope Dave Trembley does not hang any pictures up in the manager’s office at Camden Yards. My guess is Mr. Girardi will be occupying that desk come next week.
