Too Much Value on Local Players

December 06, 2007 | WNST Interns

The talk today is about Brian Roberts. I like B-Rob. I think he is a good guy and a heck of a baseball player. He is a very good lead-off hitter who puts up really good numbers. However, really good, very good, and a heck of a player does not add up to being untouchable in trade talks.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to give him away, but if the offer’s right, you have to move on it. If the Cubs are willing to give us a “jump start” with players who fit what the organization is trying to do, let B-Rob go.

What do you think. Give me a call or e-mail me.
