COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland men’s basketball team will host Notre Dame at XFINITY Center on Wednesday, Dec. 4 for the 2019 Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
The Terrapins and Fighting Irish last met in 2014, with the Terps picking up a 74-66 home victory in their lone meeting as ACC foes.
Maryland and Notre Dame have played 20 times since the inaugural meeting in 1975, with the series split 10-10. The Terps have won four of the last six meetings.
Head coach Mark Turgeon returns 7-of-8 rotation players from last season’s NCAA Round of 32 team, which is projected to be ranked in the top-10 nationally at the start of the 2019-20 season.
This marks the 21st year of the Challenge, which started in 1999. ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will combine to televise all 14 games of the event.
